Art

At Camp Excellent, our art activities are a blast! We've got a mix of awesome art classes that are designed to get those creative juices flowing. Creating art is an awesome way to train ourselves to tackle challenges with positivity and creativity. Our art activities are guided to help artists overcome any challenges they might face. We'll take a simple drawing and turn it into something amazing. We'll even get a little messy and create pendulum paintings where we pour paint onto the canvas from hanging cups! And don't worry if we make mistakes - we'll tackle them head-on, turn them into beautiful art, and create something awesome together!
At Camp Excellent, we believe that mistakes are a natural part of the learning process, and that's why we use creativity to help train our minds to welcome them. If you or your child feels intimidated by the idea of making mistakes, our awesome art program is perfect for you! We believe that making mistakes is totally okay, as long as we learn from them. So, let's get creative together while learning to embrace our mistakes!

At Camp Excellent, we absolutely love games! Games are a huge part of what we do. We've searched high and low to find the best games and challenges for small groups. We've designed activities that will have you racing against each other, challenging yourselves, and most importantly, having a blast!

Outdoor Fun/Games
​
At Camp Excellent, we know that summertime means it's time to get outside and play! We've learned over the years that being outside is one of the best ways to have fun, make friends, and learn new things. Let's make the most of this beautiful summer weather!

STEM
​
We love to build and create! From water bottle rockets to wingless airplanes, we'll work together to design, test, and modify our creations. And once we're done building, we'll put them to the ultimate test with fun challenges! Our imaginations are about to soar!

Mindfulness
​
Paying attention to details is super important. It means being fully present and aware of what's going on around us, but with so many distractions, it can be tough. That's why we've added mindfulness practices to our daily routine. We have yoga sessions and fun challenges to help us get better at being mindful. We even use mindfulness techniques when we play games! By doing this, we can improve our ability to focus and be more in the moment.
Daily Challenges

Life is full of challenges, and facing them head-on is how we grow and succeed. At Camp Excellent, we're all about embracing challenges and sticking with them until the end. We believe that facing obstacles is a crucial part of learning and improving, and we're excited to introduce you to a positive way of thinking about challenges. We've noticed that many young people tend to avoid challenges, even when they're fun, non-threatening, or well within their skillset. Sometimes they worry, feel scared, or are intimidated. But here at our camp, we're all about lifting you up and showing you that you can achieve anything you set your mind to. Our challenges are designed to be fun and challenging, and our activity leaders are trained to guide and support you every step of the way. So come on and give it a try - we've got your back!

One of our favorite challenges at camp is the "Do Your Worst" art challenge. We start with a messy figure and then add layers of complexity and creativity until we've created a masterpiece. It's all about working together to do our best and pushing our creative limits. As we progress, the group's creativity, communication, and support for each other grows stronger. It's amazing to see how we can transform something messy into a neat piece of art while having fun and sharing lots of laughs along the way!

Team Building

Working together as a team is super important in life, but being a great team member doesn't mean we all have to be the same. At our camp, we'll explore different ways to be a valuable team player and learn strategies for bringing out the best in ourselves and others. We'll work together to create a positive and supportive team environment where everyone can thrive.
